Ingredients

  • 130 g almonds (soaked in water overnight)
  • 1 liter of water
  • 300 ml of prepared almond drink
  • 1 tablespoon Adalbert's Tea Masala Ceylon loose leaf tea
  • 1.5 bananas (ripe)
  • 1 date (pitted, for sweetness)
  • 3 ice cubes
  • A pinch of salt flakes (enhances the flavor)
  • A teaspoon of cinnamon powder

Preparation

  1. Prepare the almond drink: Drain the overnight soaked almonds. Transfer them to a blender, add 1 liter of fresh water, and blend on high speed for about 1 minute. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or a special plant-based milk bag, carefully squeezing the liquid into a jar or bottle. See below for instructions on what to do with the remaining pulp!
  2. Brew the tea into a drink: Measure 300 ml of freshly prepared almond drink into a small saucepan. Add 1 tablespoon of Adalbert's Tea Masala Ceylon . Bring to a boil and let steep for about 3 minutes to infuse and release its aroma. Then strain the drink thoroughly through a strainer and set aside to cool.
  3. Blend the smoothie: Pour the cooled almond milk and tea into a blender. Add a sliced banana, pitted date, a pinch of salt, and ice cubes. Blend for about 20-30 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  4. Serving: Pour the finished smoothie into a glass. Sprinkle with cinnamon for extra flavor. Serve immediately!

A tip from David

Don't throw away the almond pulp left over from making the drink! You can dry it in the oven and use it as almond flour for baking, add it to oatmeal or pancakes, or make delicious homemade energy balls. Zero waste in the kitchen is a great idea!

This smoothie, combining creamy notes of almonds and banana with the warming aroma of Adalbert's Tea Masala Ceylon , is a true feast for the senses and a boost of positive energy. Perfect for any time of day! Try the recipe and let us know how you liked it in the comments! 🙂 Bon appétit!

Enjoy!
