This velvety creamy soup of roasted pumpkin, pear, and Masala Adalbert's Tea is a combination of sweetness and spicy warmth. Perfect for cool autumn days – it warms, satisfies, and delights with its aroma. 🍂☕️

Ingredients

  • approx. 500 g Hokkaido dyni
  • approx. 500 g butternut squash
  • 1 ripe pear
  • 1 tomato (optional)
  • a piece of celery (approx. 150 g)
  • 1/2 head of garlic
  • olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • brewed tea  Adalbert's Tea Masala  – enough to half cover the vegetables
  • approx. 100 ml of 30% cream
  • a piece of fresh ginger (approx. 2 cm)
  • 1 tablespoon of butter or your favorite olive oil (optional, for more creaminess)

To serve (optional)

  • croutons or baked halloumi cheese
  • baked corn or pumpkin seeds

Preparation


  1. Peel the Hokkaido and butternut squash (you can leave the Hokkaido with the skin on), remove the seeds and cut into pieces.
  2. Add the peeled and chopped pear, tomato, piece of celery and garlic cut crosswise.
  3. Place everything on a baking tray, brush with olive oil, season with salt and bake at 180°C for about 35–40 minutes, until the vegetables are soft and lightly browned.
  4. Squeeze the roasted garlic from its peel and place all the ingredients in a blender.
  5. Pour hot, aromatic tea over it  Adalbert's Tea Masala , add cream, fresh grated ginger and – if you like – a tablespoon of butter.
  6. Blend until smooth and velvety. Add a little water or more tea if necessary to achieve the perfect consistency.
  7. Season to taste and serve immediately, for example with baked halloumi, croutons, roasted corn or pumpkin seeds.
